    Weird Flickering Screen but only in large resolution!


    Ok, this is going to sound dumb.

    I downloaded the new upgrade for Windows 10 - and it took a while tonight

    Then I added some drivers for my Logitech mouse


    Then my screen started flickering and doing weird things like glowing white and making it difficult to do anything.

    I am fortunate I have 2 screens - here is the weird part.

    It isn't affecting the other screen at all.


    So I totally uninstall the Logitech drivers. Take out the registries and everything.


    Restart. a couple of times.


    I go online and it is flickering and glowing repeatedly.


    Okay. So I read on Microsoft it may be the drivers. Well, I removed the mouse drivers, the only other thing it could be is the Microsoft update and I can't do anything about that. So I check for updates. I have one and apply that. Of course, I am still having flashy issues.


    Here is where it gets really odd.


    I start playing with the resolutions. For some reason, I figure it might help. And IT DID!! Weird, right?

    I go down to 1680 x 1050 and it is working! A bit fuzzy, but no flickering or anything. So I am thinking that is the oddest thing I ever saw.

    This monitor is supposed to be at 1920 x 1080.

    So I switch it back thinking I might be lucky. Nope. Still flashy and cranky.


    Anyone got any clue to what is going on with this monitor??

    Screen flickering in Windows 10 safe mode

    I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

    Screen flickering can be caused by hardware or application issue.

    To better assist you, please answer the following questions:

    • Is the issue only happening in Safe Mode?
    • Have you made any changes on your device prior to the issue?

    my resolution is large

    My screen resolution is very large and all my settings are at the recommended places. All my updates are current? Any suggestions?
