Windows 10: Weird game behavior after installing Windows Update KB5052093 and Nvidia GeForce Game Ready...

Hello, My desktop computer specs are below. Wednesday I installed via Windows Update 2025-02 Cumulative Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB5052093. This updated Windows 11 from 26100.3194 to 26100.3323. I then via the Nvidia app updated my GeForce Game Ready Driver from 572.60 to 572.70. I am now getting weird behavior in PC games. When I played MaddenNFL25 online play EA App the controller/keyboard and game would be unresponsive forcing the other player to quit. Then when I played NBA2K25 online play Steam same thing the controller/keyboard and game would be

Nvidia Geforce Game Ready Driver Update?

" Depends on the application, some are clever enough to use utilise both graphics chipsets, but most you set the default graphics in the Nvidia Control Panel. No, this has nothing to do with the speed of your Laptop, it is only applications using 3D graphics mostly games. YouTube is 2D graphics. That is probably because you have Nvidia Geforce Experience installed. You can uninstall this and save some resource usage. It is not needed and is just bloatware for most people, apart from some gamers that might use some it's facilities. Windows updates takes care of drivers. You don't need the latest driver it does not speed up your Laptop, just fixes some obscure bug in a game you don't have installed. "Now i did install kaspersky total " Just uninstall that, personally I will not buy/use any product from that country. There are many alternatives.

 

Nvidia Geforce Game Ready Driver Update?

This what Nvidia says about Geforce Experience. "Capture and share videos, screenshots, and livestreams with friends. Keep your drivers up to date and optimize your game settings. GeForce Experience™ lets you do it all, making it the super essential companion to your GeForce® graphics card or laptop." 1) The functions in the first sentence can be done by the Xbox Game Bar which is part of Windows. 2) 2nd sentence, driver updates are taken care of by Windows updates/Dell. 3) Game settings are better done yourself, educate yourself on the subject and you will do a much better job than Nvidia. 4) "do it all, super essential" Just, no, it is super bloatware. It came with my Laptop years ago and when the requirements for an Account appeared it was just uninstalled. "But is this program necessary or not?" Not necessary. "heard that you should actually remove this program? Should i do that?" Yes. "do it from add/remove programs?" Yes. "But the nvidia driver and everything is still there right? " Yes. "But it does seem like this program is necessary if you click on it and it say if you create an account, you can check your nvidia driver updates and all that?" Nvidia would say that, it is sales talk, advertising for the purposes of gathering data useful to them and probably revenues. You have got to be lean and mean, and highly critical of every application installed.

 

Game Ready from Nvidia

I am constantly getting emails from Nvidia telling me 'game ready' download is available. For the past 2-3 months I have been ignoring them and binning them. Question is: even though they are 'game ready' downloads for games I will never own, is my GeForce RTX 2070 Armor actually in 'need' of these updates. Or are they just patches, as I said, for stuff I will never want or need??? I have also removed Game Experience which seems to make no difference to the damn emails. Will they affect the older games I currently enjoy?
