Windows 10: Weird glitch where Windows booted into First time setup

Hello everyone.

Today while playing a game, both of my screens went black and all of my fans went AWOL. Now this is a known glitch with this game, and only happens with certain actions you perform. It's a game that's very well known, about building and shit. Well, when I held the power button in a moment of annoyance (I know you're not supposed to power off using the power button, but It's really my only option when this happens). When it turns back on, I go through the usual Gigabyte BIOS Splash Screen, and then for some odd reason, It goes to the Windows 10 Initial Startup screen, like the one where theres a blue box bordered by thick black lines. It just asked me some bullshit about adding my phone number for something, Blah blah blah, I ended up not setting it up and it gave me some dumb message that went along the lines of "Enjoy Windows 10 even though you have been using it for 4 years!" So if anyone could tell me why this happened that could be great. Idk if it was just a rogue update or something or if my Windows is just fucked.

Weird date/time glitch

Hi John,

This could be caused by an error on your system files or it could just be a mistake on your Date/Time settings. A normal restart usually fixes the issue, but if in case it doesn't you can try this steps instead.

• Right-click on the date and time on your taskbar. A set of options should appear.
• Choose Adjust date/time. Make sure that it is set to your correct timezone.
• On the second drop-down, choose Don't show additional calendars.
• At the bottom, click on Change date and time formats.
• Suggested format should be:

• Firs day of week - Sunday
• Short date - M/d/yyyy
• Long date - dddd, MMMM d, yyyy
• Short time - h:mm tt
• Long time - h:mm:ss tt

You can check the Region and language as well to make sure. It is located on the same Adjust date/time window.

It can be a simple graphic concern so you can also try and update your display driver. Just type in
devmgmt on your search bar beside the Start button. A new window should appear. Expand
Display adapters then right click on your adapter. Click
Properties. Then go to Driver tab, then click Update
Driver.

Weird graphical text editor glitch in a dual monitor setup on windows 10

My dearest superusers,

I have a very weird graphics 'glitch' for certain IDE's or editors, like TexStudio and Spyder. It happens that certain lines or words overlap with each other, and sometimes certain lines have different fontsizes even (not shown in next image)

It happens usually in my secondary monitor (LG Flatron E2350V), but if I remember correctly, it had appeared on my primary as well. My primary is just the one of my laptop (HP Pavilion - 14-al125nd). What I have noticed (from what I remember) is:

• When the problem appeared in Spyder in primary monitor, it was
  sometimes solved by saving the python file
  
• When the problem appeard in Spyder in secondary monitor, it was
  sometimes solved by maximizing the window.
  
• And at times none of the above methods worked for no monitor.
  
• When I drag one of the text environments (texStudio or Spyder) from monitor 1 to monitor 2, the text transitions into the glitched version.
  
• Also,some IDEs like Matlab, never experienced this problem. (And till now, I have never seen the problem elsewhere
  
• As far as I know, these two programs are the only ones where the glitch appeared.
  
• Lately, the problem does not appear in first monitor, but it still does in second one.
  

This suggests that the problem is time-varying and possibly also varies in its characteristcs.

To solve the problem, I've tried to:

• update to latests graphics drivers, both my integraded Intel card (HD
  Graphics 620), as well as my dedicated Nvdia GeFore 940MX card.
  
• Otherwise I've tried to search online but frankly, I do not really
  know the right search terms to find the same problem. Therefore I
  hope to find some answers or suggestions on this site!
  

Just to be clear, my question is what causes and/or what can potentially solve the problem?
Of course I do not know what information could be used/required to answer this question, so if there are any questions of additional details that I did not mention, please ask.

Sidenote: I am not sure whether my tags are correct either. Feedback is appreciated.
