  1. Weird lag in Windows 10 UI

I've been googling this for a couple months, and it's really bugging me.

The interface of Windows in my laptop will randomly drop the frame rate every other time I start the computer. Usually a system restart fixes it, but then it will come back after I put the laptop to sleep or after half an hour, I honestly haven't identified a pattern yet. It's very annoying, especially considering I have a fairly modern computer:

Razer Blade 15 2018, 16 gigs of RAM, NVidia GTX 1060 Max-Q and i7 8th generation. It happens both on the integrated screen and when using my external Asus monitor over HDMI.

Anyone's got any leads? Thanks for taking the time. Let me know if you should upload some diagnostic file or similar stuff.

    THX

    :)

Weird lag in Windows 10 UI

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
