Windows 10: Weird Laptop Fan Issue – Spins Up Randomly, Then Stops Completely

I have an HP 255 G7 Notebook PC with the following specs:CPU: Ryzen 5 3500UGPU: 2GB Vega 8RAM: 8GB DDR4Storage: 256GB M.2 SSD ADATAUsage Background:I've been using this laptop for 4 years. Initially, I did programming Android Studio and emulators, but later switched to gaming. For the past 3 years, I’ve been playing Dota 2 daily for 5-7 hours.Previous Issue & Repair:About 6 months ago, I had a serious issue:After several hours of gaming, I left my laptop on. When I came back, it had gone into Sleep mode.After waking it up, while browsing, it suddenly shut down.When I turned it back on,

Laptop fan spins up to max for no obvious reason

As stated above.

In viewing task manager I tend to see nothing obvious that could be the cause though occassionally something like below occurs.



Once the fan gets going it doesn't appear as if it will stop until I shut my laptop down fully.

Checked my fan physically and no dust.

Replaced thermal compound between cpu and heat sink.

Scanned with windows defender and malwarebytes to find nothing.

Appears to ramp up randomly. Played an intensive game without issue.

I figured it might be related to using my browser - Mozilla. Deleted all history/cookies etc, switched to edge.

Tried to eliminate as many programs to find anything to the point of resetting win10.

Not sure what to do now. Any ideas?

Disconnecting from internet = no change

Process explorer = 97-99% idle

Checking BIOS version = most up to date

Sent in support ticket - Awaiting response

Acquired SpeedFan - Unable to add any fan controller

Acquired NoteBook FanControl - Able to target fan speed in steps of 25%. Will spin up to max at any stepping other than 0%. Appears as if tilting my laptop can set the fan off to max. Currently using 0% target fan to bring it back down.

 

Pc screens turns off randomly and fans stop spinning but pc is not off

Pc screens turns off randomly and fans stop spinning but still hearing sound in my airpods. my keyboard, mouse, mic and pc lights are still on. this happens randomly once or 5 times a day. Can someone help me with this? I also have a picture off what it looks like.

 

Laptop fan spins terribly

Hi Team Windows

I have an issue with different laptop brands loaded windows 10 and windows 11.

The fan spins terribly for a longer time while working on a spreadsheet or outlook, basically list resources consumed.

This has nothing to do with low ram or low hard drive space.

The same issue happens just after logging on to the laptop.

I suspect this could be a windows update bug, I am not really sure I would like to check if anyone has experienced the same issue and solution.
