Windows 10: Weird Lenovo X1 Carbon Battery issue

    Weird Lenovo X1 Carbon Battery issue


    I am pretty sure this is a system board issue, but wanted to ask in case someone had something for me to try. Here goes.

    With an AC Power adapter connected and running Windows 10, the battery icon gives the graphic that the battery is plugged in and when you mouse over the icon it says connected and charging. You even see the charging animation on the icon. About 30 seconds after signing in, the animation stops but it still says it is charging but the charge percent keeps going down and when it hits 0%, the laptop turns off and the AC Power IS plugged in. When I disconnect the battery (it only has one internal battery) and connect the AC Power adapter, the computer gets power and I can boot up and sign into windows and use the laptop.

    Things I have tried that did not work.

    I disconnected internal battery and with no battery or AC Power connected, pressed and held the power button in for 30 seconds, plugged everything back up and the laptop still has the issue.

    I booted up to my Gandolf Windows 10 USB O/S and the same thing happens, so it looks like it is not an issue the Windows 10 install on the laptop.

    I have another X1 Carbon which I booted up and I saw the battery in that laptop go from 25% to 30% charge in around 15 minutes using the same AC power adapter I was using on the X1 Carbon I am having an issue with. This verifies that this other battery is good and there is no issue with the AC power adapter. I took the battery out of the laptop and put it into the laptop I am having the issue with and the same thing is happening.

    Any thoughts ?

    W8Phone connecting BlueTooth to Lenovo Carbon X1

    trying to connect my Nokia 822 to my Lenovo Carbon X1 running W8.1. the phone displays the Bluetooth code but I am not prompted by the PC for the code. I've connected other Bluetooth devices to PC but they did not require code.

    any suggestions.

    Lenovo X1 Carbon 20BT shutdown automatically

    Hey guys,

    I have Lenovo X1 Carbon 20BT with Windows 10 Pro x64 v1809 installed. Some minutes ago it auto shutdown. I thought battery is dead so plug in the charger and tap the power button but it had 27% battery left also.
