Hey, I have this weird problem with my PC/OS currently. This started to happen fairly recently, but whenever I boot my system up after a couple of hours of no use, apps and programs open up very slowly (be it Discord or a simple game launcher – and I’m talking 3-5 minutes slow).

They eventually open and work fine (no loss of performance, no stutters, no lags. Everything works perfectly fine) but when I close them and try to open them again, the same problem persists. I can usually “fix” this, by performing a simple restart (which fixes the issue and makes apps/programs open up in a matter of seconds), but it’s quite tedious and annoying process to do every time I want to use my PC after a long day.

    My specs:

    CPU: I7-4770K @ 4.3GHz

    GPU: ASUS GTX 1060 6GB

    RAM: Corsair 16GB (2x8) DDR3 @ 1600MHz

    MOBO: Gigabyte Z87X-OC

    Additional info:

-Windows 10 (Pro) is currently up to date (10.0.18362 N/A Build 18362)

-Task manager usage is normal (8% CPU – 33% Memory – 5% GPU)

-Cleaned up all unnecessary programs & startup

    -No unknown processes/tasks running

-All essential drivers are up to date (at least to my knowledge)

-Used CCleaner to custom clean & registry clean

-Full system scanned with Bitdefender (no issues found)

-Fully system scanned with Malwarebytes (no issues found)

-BIOS is up to date (F9c)

    -Fast Boot is disabled

    -Temperatures are perfectly normal

-I completely/fully shutdown my PC whenever I'm done

    -Ran “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” & “sfc /scannow” (which apparently fixed some issues)

-I don’t think this is a disk problem as this happens with every application installed across different drives (all of them are in perfect health according to CrystalDisk)

-Plenty of free space on the disks/drives

-Tried reinstalling affected apps/programs (did not help at all)

-(I don’t particularly want to do a fresh install right now, hence trying to identify the problem, but if it is a must, then I will do so).

    Thank you in advance

    Weird BSOD problem

    Hi Everyone,

I have a weird BSOD problem which I cannot solve for a while(it persists still after upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7)

The main strange thing about this is that I get BSOD only after cold boot.
    So it acts like this:

    1. start PC.
    2. Get to Windows Logo Screen
    3. BSOD
    4. Restart
    5. Get to menu where I can try to repair or Start NormallyIf I Choose Repair, it will fail to repair and will try to restoreIf I Choose Start Normally, it will start OK, no BSOD, can work normally, games, browse internet, everything is normal.6. Shutdown PC
    7. Next time when I start is all over again i.e. Go to Step 1

I have this problem for a while, so what I tried:
    1. Another Windows 7
    2. Another HDD
    3. Only HDD connected
    4. Changed RAM
    5. Tried with built in GPU
    6. Upgraded to Windows 10

Result is the same as above every time.

Please suggest what could be the cause.
    Logs collected with DM_Log_Collector, attached.

    Thank you

PS. This thread is a continuation of this one: Frequent multiple errors BSOD. Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums the only thing changed is Windows 10 now. instead of Windows 7. If that helps somehow.

Best way to keep vista clean and healthy

    Yeah just caught it there.

I'm going to attempt to have a step by step guide on how to use these programs efficiently.

Weird option in "Open with another program" list

    Hello,

I have a question that I can't find anwser to. So, when I right click on an image file, select "Open with" and then "Select another application" one of the options looks weird and I want to get rid off it. It says: "F:\Program Files (x86)\paint.net\PaintDotNet.exe"
"%1" instead of a program name. Other thing is that I don't have F drive anymore.

Does anyone know how to erase this line from the list?
