    Weird Performance drop

Hi, I've been playing on my laptop for about 2-3 years now and it didn't seem to have big performance issues. However, as it stands since a few weeks ago, the performance dropped in the device. I gave it to repair quite recently due to a short circuit, yet the GPU and CPU don't seem off and the technician assured me that the GPU and CPU are perfectly fine. When I check the AMD Adrenalin both my CPU and GPU sit at around 70 degrees with about 80% usage on GPU and about 50% on CPU. I do not understand what and why exactly this happens, but when I play a certain game I get sudden drops to about 4

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, have you noticed or done any changes on the PC before the issue starts? in addition, may I know the Graphics card make and model you have? while waiting for that information, I suggest following the steps below as the fps is caused by running services in the background:

    Method 1. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    - In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.

    - On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.

    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.

    - Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.

    - Close Task Manager.

    - On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Method 2. Run memory diagnostic tool: The memory diagnostic tool is a RAM test to check if there are any issues with RAM.

    - Press Windows key + R then type in mdsched.exe hit OK then restart the device.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
