  1. Weird Screen Sequence, Then Goes Back to Normal

    Hi, there!

I am having a recurring issue where my laptop whether connected to a monitor or not freezes, goes to a black screen with the cursor still showing, then flashes both a tan screen and some weird screen kind of looks like binary numbers. After 15-30 seconds of this occurring, it goes back to normal. I have scanned my computer for viruses, and everything seems fine. I have only had this laptop for NOT EVEN two months. Any help is appreciated.

By the way, I am using Windows 10 and I have completed all updates.

    :)

    Blue screen and stop code

    Hi
    Jeferis,

There are a lot of factors for this matter to occur. To isolate the issue, we have some questions for you:

    • What activity have you done to
trigger the NTFS and FAT FILE SYS loop?

    • were there any error messages?

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    It is possible that the
    Boot
Sequence were corrupted by the previous activity which
triggered the Blue Screen Error and the loop. We recommend that you perform these
    suggested troubleshooting
and see if there are any changes:

    Startup Repair.

    To access the
Startup Repair Screen, turn off the
    PC 3-4 times(force shutdown),
while on the Blue screen Error. This will route you to the
    Startup repair screen:

Advanced Boot Options > click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt

    and run the following command:

    Run SFC Scan:

    SFC
    will
    scan
    and
    run
    an
    automatic repair
    to any
    corrupted system files
that it will detect. We suggest that you perform it twice. To run an
    SFC scan, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type
      sfc /scannow
      and hit
      Enter.

    Boot Record:

This will fix the corruptions on
    boot records or boot
sequence. To run this command, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type the following command:

      • Bootrec /fixMBR

      • Bootrec /fixBoot

      • Bootrec /rebuildBCD

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

Weird Screen Sequence, Then Goes Back to Normal

    Weird Overclock

This is not weird in any way. 1600MHz idle is normal for i7 3770K, it's called Speed Step. The CPU will not stay at the max turbo speed or over clock unless under load.
