Windows 10: Weird sound from laptop speaker glitch

My laptop speaker is making weird buzzing/static sound when audio is coming through my headphones. The only way to stop it is to disable my laptop speakers, which also disables my headphones, due to it being plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack. I have tried everything, from reinstalling the sound drivers manually, to letting windows troubleshoot reinstall them and letting the manufacturer site (Hp since it's an HP Specter) install them (latest Realtek drivers.) It's quite irritating It lasts until either the source of the sound is stopped, or randomly like 30-35 seconds later.. would be nice if I could get some help figuring it out.

Disable beep sound when plugging/unplugging laptop charger

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Disable the PC Speakers and check if it helps.

• Right click on Sound Icon in the task bar and go to Playback devices.
  
• Select Speaker and click on properties.
  
• Go to Levels tab, and mute (or you can reduce it) PC Speaker and check if it helps.
  

 

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

no sound plays through internal speakers

I cannot get any sound to play through the internal speakers of my laptop. It did play previously. The speaker in the task bar has a red and white x and the trouble shooter says no speakers headphones plugged in. When I pull up the info on sound it lists
its location at HDMI port. Suggestions?
