Windows 10: Weird space below taskbar

Hi! Not sure how to fix this or what exactly caused it.

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

Display Issue/Weird Spacing/Gap Below Taskbar - Windows 10, Surface Pro 3

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand your concern as the taskbar icon spacing is not proper.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Are you aware of any changed on the PC prior to this issue?
  

If you are using Windows 10 Insider 19592 build, then refer to this article for more information:

If you have turned on the tablet mode feature, then I would suggest you to turn off and then turn on the feature and check if there is any change.

However, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if that helps.

Step 1: Restart Windows/File Explorer.

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc key to open Task manager
   
2. Right click on Explorer.exe from the list under
   Process tab.
3. Select End Task from the context menu.
4. Then click on File tab from the top and select
   Run new task.
5. Now type explorer.exe and check the box beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
   
6. Check if you still have issues.

Step 2: New user account

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.

System Icons on taskbar

Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
