Windows 10: Weird unknown files in task manager startup tab

These files just showed up in my task manager, they were not there before. It also does not allow me to check the file location. It is not something I have deleted either. I have seen people be in the same situation, but with the "Program" file, and only one of them, so I'm wondering if this is similar, or could this be a virus?Thank you for any help!

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

Hey Guys,
This is my first post here as I just joined, but the timing was good as I had this same unknown "program" show up in Task Manager yesterday and didn't know what to make of it. Then I came across your thread here and decided to try Topgundcp's suggestion of adding the 'command line' to the category headings and it worked (tipping the hat to Topgundcp)! The unknown program apparently belongs to Send Anywhere, which would make sense as I believe it had recently been tagged as a pup and quarantined on my system... Thanks for the help....

 

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

Any suggestions?
