  1. Weird untitled running Windows process that uses network and CPU - What is the wlidsvc service?

Hi, I am Abdulqadir, and on my old and new laptop, there is a very weird thing happening.I opened the task manager and listed all the way down to Windows processes, so below Background processes below Apps, and there was a weird untitled process with the icon of svchost.exe and it wasn't a service. Sometimes there are two of them for mere a second. Here's a screenshot:Although, on my old laptop, this happens when I log in to the system, and it terminates soon. But this process didn't run before on my new laptop, and only now started running even though I booted up my laptop a while ago... 9 ho

    :)

Service Host: Network List Service hogging CPU

I have a Surface Go running Windows 10 (not 10S), and recently (last few weeks) whenever it wakes from Sleep "Network List Service" starts using at least 30% of my CPU. Often my combined CPU use is 100%. This goes on for a minute or more. None of my
other computers have this problem. Suggestions?

Weird process running - "Monitor Virutal Wlan Service"

I was checking my system configuration and happened across this weird one!

Weird untitled running Windows process that uses network and CPU - What is the wlidsvc service? [IMG]

    Note the spelling:
"Monitor Virutal Wlan Service" - "Virutal" rather than "Virtual" but either way, I can see no reference to such a process on the net.

Searching instead for "Virutal Wlan" turns up a number of items, some suggesting disable a process and some suggesting an infection.

I am running Windows 10 having gone via the 8.1 route without any serious problems. Used to be a member of the Seven Forum. Not really a technical expert, rather a fairly competent pensioner!

    Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

Windows 7 - Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service

Hello Everyone, just wondering what your thoughts are on this process i just noticed that has been eating up lots of CPU time for no reason. Its called the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, i certainly do not use WMP (who does?) especially for sharing my libraries across the network.

I am about to disable the service completely and see if that will make it stop. Just seems weird that this would be running when i never even use WMP. Anyone?*Bang Head :banghead:
