Windows 10: Weirdest bug : changing text size results in Chrome/Edge YT videos not being able to play...

Hello gents.

Don't know whether this is a common issue or not but here it goes :
For the past couple of days, i've been noticing that 60fps YT videos drop a lot of frames and that also - fluidity wise -they feel more 30fps than 60fps.
I tried the usual "fixes": enabling/disabling hardware acceleration on Chrome, trying a different browser (Edge) but the problem is/was still there.
I found it strange since until a couple of days ago everything used to be fine when watching 60fps youtube videos.

...and then i remembered : about 5-6 days ago, i had changed my display resolution from 720p to 1080p (i'm on a 1080 plasma screen).
When i switched to 1080p, i also changed the text size from the "ease of access settings" and also icon sizes from the "scale and layout options" in the display settings as to make things bigger since i'm sitting 2.5m away from my TV.
2 days ago, i reverted to 720p since on 1080p some app text looked funky no matter what i did and this is when the YT 60fps video started happening.

Yesterday, i tried to do everything, resetting Chrome, uninstalling/re-installing my AMD graphics drivers, enabling/disabling HW acceleration (Chrome) trying the same videos on Edge but, you guessed it, nothing worked - until i decided to retrace all my previous steps and this is how i finally managed to stumble upon the proverbial "culprit", the text size scaling that's found on the ease of access settings.
Basically, if the slider is on value above 100%, YT 60fps videos will drop frames and also feel like they're 30 instead of 60fps.
Text scaling at default value (100%) = perfect 60fps videos, text scaling size - even if you put it at 101% =YT 60fps videos drop frames/aren't fluid.

How/why is this even possible gents ?
Also, here's another weird thing : Chrome and Edge would drop frames like i described, on Firefox though, 60fps videos played perfectly ?

Maybe it's because text scaling demands some extra processing grunt and this is why 60fps videos, since they're more demanding on CPU, start to drop frames/not play fluidly ?
If that's so, why is it then that Firefox played the same videos flawlessly ?

Size of TEXT on the Desktops. NOT size of icons) but size of TEXT TEXT TEXT

Please follow below steps to change the size of text:

• In the search bar, look for Display settings, then click it.
• A pop up will appear showing the Display settings.
• Click on the scale to change the size of text, apps and other items.

Chrome Crashing & Video won't play

Odd text size with Google Chrome, not with MS Edge

I've noticed this odd text display on some sites, but not all, websites using Google Chrome. MS Edge displays the same text correctly. I also use Chromium browser on Ubuntu Linux which displays correctly as well. The website is Canon EOS 5D Mark IV specification speculation shows up on YouTube video [CW2]. The font will display a single "f" okay but not double "ff"s. It seem to be a text bloggers type in, not the webpage's standard font.
Anyways, just seems weird. Any ideas?
