WER Fault while Shutting Down Windows 11 22H2

I have a DELL 15 5570 (Yup, it's 5 years old) laptop. Personally, I never had problems with Windows 11 since its release as it's quite efficient, good looking, and feature rich. Since owning this machine, I have a practise of clean installing (without any data backup on the cloud) my machine whenever there is a yearly major update.





A few days back I upgraded after fresh installing Windows 11 22h2. Installation and setup went fine without any issues. However, since a couple a day's whenever I shutdown my computer, it does shutdown normally, but for a split second I get an error that WER Fault (This app is preventing shutdown). Currently, I do not have any performance issues, like CPU busy all the time, lags, etc. The system runs as effecient as before and my task manager do not show any sign of issues in terms of CPU, memory, or disk problems.

The steps that I took to tackle this problem so far:

1) I ran System File Checker ( C:> sfc /scannow ) via CMD (Administrator, but I didn't get any problems.

2) I completed the checks on Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, but it also did not raise any red flags for my machine.

3) I checked the status of WER on services app(services.msc), but the status of the app is that it's stopped, and start-up type is Manual (Triggered).





Although the system shut down normally and at a quick speed, however this error of a split second is driving me nuts.

Can anyone help me?

Yes, I did install the Dell Support assist application but the installation failed. Does it mean that the Dell app is at fault?

 

Cannot update Windows 11 to build 22h2

Need more help than support web site offers. I would like to update a Windows Pro 21h2 to 22h2.

I've tried every suggestion at Troubleshoot problems updating Windows - Microsoft Support short of "Perfrom a clean installation of Windows 11." That list is comprehensive and includes everything I would have thought of on my own and then some. None of the troubleshooting suggestions solved the problem. The system in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n desktop running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2.

In addition to all the steps at the above link, I've also tried installing by using Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Installation Assistant downloads and goes through the long installation process. But then very shortly after the reboot starts, it says, "Undoing changes" and boots back into the old build.
