Windows 10: WerFault.exe error messages

So I have a new Dell G3 and so far I've had 2 system breaking errors in the 2 months since I bought the PC new. The first issue I solved with a hard reset of the system and now I'm having a new problem. I get two error messages:


C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\aepic.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.


and


This instruction at 0x00007FF8DEF8D00A referenced memory at 0x000001D7163DF15E. The memory could not be read.


The error boxes don't go away no matter how much I click OK on them and they're preventing programs from opening. I can't access the control panel or action center because of them. The error came out of seemingly no where when I signed in today and when I double clicked on Edge it got worse. Resetting the PC doesn't make it go away and the errors are preventing most programs from opening. Does anyone have an idea or solution? I really don't want to do another hard reset and I can't be doing it every time Windows has a problem. I never had problems with Windows in the past, but now I'm considering switching to a different OS because this is absolutely unacceptable.

But it will not terminate, & locks all normal functions, I tried to uninstall games, steam, etc. To no avail!
I must reboot by cont.alt.del.
When I click it the same message pops up over & over?

Method 1: SFC scan



System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Refer to these steps to perform a SFC scan:



a) Press Windows key + X, select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated command prompt.

b) In the command prompt type the following command: “sfc/scannow” and press enter.

c) Now, restart the computer.



Method 2: Memory Diagnostic tool



If the above steps didn’t help, I would suggest you to run the memory diagnostic tool and check. Refer to these steps:



a) Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

b) Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

c) Click on “Administrative tools” and select “Windows memory diagnostic”.

d) Click “Restart now and check for problems” .



Method 3:



If none of the above steps helps, you can temporarily disable the WerFault service to stop getting these errors. Refer to these steps:



a) Press Windows key +R, type “services.msc”.

b) In the services window, locate the “Windows Error Reporting” system.

c) Right click on the service and select properties.

d) In startup type, change from “Manual” to “Disabled” and click OK.
