    So I got my PC in August for school as I am a 3D animation student and needed a solid laptop to run the programs. When I first got it the program was crashing after having a really simple scene open for about 30 minutes. When it crashed I got the blue screen of death with the error code THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. So I did a factory in hopes that it would fix it and it did. Ever since it's been smooth sailing with small hiccups along the way. Then tragedy struck. The other day I had to create a scene that had hair/fur in it which I thought would be easy. When I tried using the tool I got an error code in the program that said OpenCL is disabled. After searching through the forums looking for my problem I found a solution which was just to update my drivers. So I did that and the tool worked fine. Then I started working on a different scene without hair because I didn't need it at the moment and my computer crashed after having it open for only about a half hour. I got the blue screen of death again with the same exact error code from August. I need to be able to use the hair/fur tool but I also need to be able to have my program open for more than a half hour so I'm sure you see my predicament. I really need help with this, so is there a way to fix both these problems or am I going to have to live with or the other. I'm also really new to windows as this is my first computer so if there's some really simple solution to this PLEASE let me know. Also the driver that works with the hair/fur tool is AMD Radeon R7 M460 version 27.20.12033.1007 and the one that doesn't is just the preloaded one on my graphics card AMD Radeon 535 Series. If you need more info I'd be happy to provide. Thank you in advance for the help.

    Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

    One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

    Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.

    How is Event Online Help supposed to work?

    There are many errors in the Event Viewer. When I click "Event Log Online Help" a window opens asking if it is OK to send information across the internet. When I click Yes, a Technet page shows a series of issues that are not related to the event log issue.


    Is it really supposed to work this way?? If so, how does it help me? If not, how can it be fixed? Is there not a listing somewhere of the Event IDs and suggested resolutions?
