Windows 10: What are Microsoft's recommendations for selecting the storage size of backup media?

Hey there, thanks for reading! I looked around for a best practice article on this and couldn't find one, please let me know if there already is.My question is simple. I am looking specifically for a Microsoft recommendation for how much backup storage I need compared to the drive that needs to be backed up. I can use my best judgement / experience, but I would like to have a Microsoft standard for my clients.Thanks!!

Follow the steps to change the font size:

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.

External media drive not offered for backup

We understand that you want to back up your files on your DVD. At this point, we suggest that you try these steps so you can create a backup of it:

• Open the folder that contains the files that you want to back up.
• Select the files to be moved on the DVD disc inserted.
• Click Share on the tab section of the window.
• Click Burn to disc to transfer it to the DVD disc.

In case these steps didn't work, kindly consult your manufacturer so they could recommend a software compatible for your computer to burn your files on your DVD.

Don't have any function for backup

Hi Iris,

Let's work together on this. We suggest that you follow the following steps to apply the backup to your Windows Phone:

• Sign into the same Microsoft Account used for the backup creation.
• When prompted to use a backup to restore the handset, select the desired backup and hit ‘next’ to continue with the process.
• The backup will then download (duration will vary depending on speed of connection and size of backup), you can then enter passwords for restored accounts there and then or configure restored email and social accounts later.
