Hi, recently I changed my registery values in the location shown above on the quest of better performance, however, after trying to run Steam VR i found that I was unable to. This was not an issue that I had before.IInitially, my plan was to just load a backup of my OS, however I didn't any backups saved, as a result of this, I figured my best bet would be to just input the initial values of the registers and be good to go, only problem being that I didn't have any saves or recolection of them, hence me coming here.I got my instructions from here. I have also verified that everything else I di

    Registery settings

I've made another topic about my Active Sync problems before (as listed in

    this topic
for example) but somehow it got deleted. I didn't know if I posted it in the right section, but making a comment asking for support or telling me where to post it instead wasn't a hint for any mod to help me out.

I fixed the problem of not seeing any tasks and processes in my task manager by switching some registery settings. I'm hoping I might fix all the other problems now aswell, for example getting my Bluetooth, WLAN, active sync and add/remove programs to work.

Hereby I'm asking anyone to quickly (yeah I know it takes time) write down some standard registery settings which might have anything to do with the listed items. Or help me find some website where those standard/basic registery
    strings/values are listed.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Windows Registery

Cleaning and defragging the registery just helps reduce clogged keys and values just like fragmented files. But doing so does not helped dramatically, u will not notice any performance increase urself. best is to not mess with it.

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done What are the default registery values for this:... :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
