Windows 10: What are the refund methods when canceling an order?

I ordered a Surface Laptop 4 for Business through the Microsoft store. Now, for some reason the site is telling me that the order will be delivered around September 14th which is just too unbelievably inconvenient. Now, I want to cancel the order. Please note that I have already been charged $1851.29. I want to know that if I now click the cancel button, how will I get my refund? I paid about $322 with credits I had in my Microsoft account and the rest with my card. If I click Cancel, how will the refund process be like? Will I get the entire $1851.29 added to my Microsoft account, or back to

Cancel an order or pre-order from Microsoft Store

Go to your Order history and find the order or pre-order.

Select Cancel item next to the item you want to cancel. If you don't see this option, you've already been charged for the item, but you can request an exchange or refund.

Select the check box next to the item and then select the Cancel item button.

EA Makes it Tougher to Cancel Battlefront 2 Pre-orders

For those that don't want to cancel, but still wish to refund the game, just wait until it releases:

You may return EA full game downloads (PC or Mac) and participating third party titles purchased on Origin for a full refund.

Send us refund requests within the following timeframes:

• Within 24 hours after you first launch the game
• Within 7 days from your date of purchase
• Within 7 days from the game’s release date if you pre-ordered

On the other hand, couldn't folks just request a charge back from their bank or CC company and just bypass EA and their dick-ish move?
