Hi! I am on windows 11 and I am cleaning up my screenshots when I suddenly see this. What should I do here? Should I uninstall it?I am using WIN11.EDITI did some research and found out it is connected with VC++ 2008, and it said it is safe to delete, I won't delete it yet since I want confirmation from the people here that it is indeed safe to delete. I am having worries to delete it since I am in WIN11 and it might have effects. Below are the screenshots of where I got my Information. What are the VC_RED, EULA and DLL files? Are they safe or are they a sign of virus?

Is it safe to delete WpSystem, SoftwareDistribution, WindowsApps, eula, VC_RED ?

Hi Andrew, most of those files are left over from a software installation that has extracted onto your hard drive

In your first screen capture, all of the files beneath the folders can safely be deleted

The EULA (End User Licence Agreement) files are simple software licence agreement files in different languages - open any of them in Notepad and you will be able to see what installation all these files are left over from

With regards to the folders, do not delete them, they are not associated with the installation

Look at the date time stamp on all the files - 07/11/2007 @ 08:40 - 08:44

Any files/folders with that date/time stamp are left over from the extracted installation and can be deleted safely!
