Windows 10: What are these default users?

Discus and support What are these default users? in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I was cleaning up my disk and I found these default users on my pc and I do not recall them.     What are these default users?


    I was cleaning up my disk and I found these default users on my pc and I do not recall them. Even worse, they can't be deleted. Please advise me on how to get rid of them. Appreciate any help.

    The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

    Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

    Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

    I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

    Might be helpful to list what i've done What are these default users? :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

    I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    I suggest you to switch the account to pGina account while you have signed into ranab account.

    After you switch to pGina account sign out and try to login and check for the issue.

    Follow the steps to switch accounts:

    • Press Windows logo and click on the User profile and switch to pGina account.
    • And sign out from the account.
    If the issue still persists,

    I suggest you to Remove and Re-add the account.
