    What are these icon overlays?


    Greetings,Icon overlays keep changing by themselves. Also, the overlays on the desktop are different than the ones in File Explorer. These three icons have four overlays: a file folder, a centered check mark, a left-aligned check mark, and a right-aligned shield:When I go into the Registry Editor and navigate to the key:HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiersThere are three subkeys:001BUOverlayProtected002BUOverlayPending003BUOverlayExcludedHow can i find out which application installed these keys?     Icon overlays in Windows 10

    Hi,

    There are currently 15 slots allotted for icon overlays in the system image list of Windows 10. 4 of these are reserved for the system, and OneDrive uses 5, leaving six slots for use by other icon overlay handlers. If more than 15 icon overlays are registered
    in the system, the extra icon overlays aren't used. This limit of 15 overlay icons applies to Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

    Ok, I got a question. The options to hide the overlay are confusing. What are the steps to turn on the overlay in-game? Not interested in logging much at the moment. Is Alt-R part of turning it on/off?
