Windows 10: What can I do if ChkDisk on bootup takes too long?

Hello, I am not really a tech savvy person so I will try to explain this as throughly as possible.So starting about 2-3 weeks ago, Windows 11 has been acting up on my drive. My R: drive seems to be badly corrupted, as it seems to be taking very long to boot my PC.Sometimes when I boot the PC up, I usually let it do disk checking and let it do its thing. The disk checking takes about 5 - 10 seconds before it finishes and boots up the LoginUi. Today, as yesterday I let it sleep for a couple hours to get back to my work today, the PC is seemingly taking an unexpected time to finish Phase 1. as o

How long would chkdisk/f on a 500gb partition? I doubt there are any corrupted files and I may have hit lightly the laptop against let's say a wall.

 

Bootup Process Suddenly Became Very Long

I have manually installed Windows on my prebuild PC. Usually the bootup process took 15 seconds at most. Recently I started noticing very slow reboot speeds and soon after that the bootup process also became very slow. Here is what I see when I boot the
PC up:

• ASUS Logo with a spinner below
• Just a spinner on a black background
• Plain green screen (green is my accent colour) for about 10 seconds

Usually I would only see the ASUS logo with a spinner and then the lockscreen would show up. I can't recall doing anything weird recently, apart from using a tool called GeekUninstaller to force the removal of some third-party software.

The PC has become very slow to turn on. Is there any way to check which processes are taking so long to be started?

Hey! I think you did not understand me correctly. I did not do a reinstall of Windows. The PC came without a system and I had to manually install Windows on it.

I just started noticing very slow bootup speeds recently. I have not done anything with the installation. I need a way to check what is taking so long to start up.
