Windows 10: What can I do if I forgot my lock screen password for my windows 10 desktop computer?

So.. my preteen started deleting stuff she wasn't supposed to be deleting off of MY computer. So I changed the lock screen password but forgot to write the new password down! And now I can't remember it for the life of me! I don't wanna factory reset it. And I don't have a back up drive.. what can I do? I did however set up my windows account using this computer..

No "Forgot Password" Prompt on Windows PC Lock Screen

Hello,

I woke up and forgot the password to my local account on the PC this morning, and the "I forgot my password prompt" is nowhere to be seen, so I can't get into my computer (Dell XPS PC running most recent version of Windows 10 and Office 365). I am the administrator
on the PC.



We have tried:

• Power cycling/restarting the computer
• Using an old password
• We can't do a factory reset because we can't log in

Any fixes on either getting the "forgot password" prompt on the lock screen to show up and/or remotely resetting a local windows account password?

you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
