Windows 10: What can I do to log into a computer if I'm locked out and I can't reset it?

Hi, I was recovering an old PC I forgot the password to a while ago and I tried to reset it so I could reuse it. Problem is, in the middle of resetting, the power was cut off and now I can't reset anymore because I don't have the password to any of the accounts in it. What can I do?

Nobody suggested checking out Event Viewer? When your computer randomly locks, search for, and open: Event Viewer Under Windows Logs, Check out: • Application • Security, and • System See if you can find something that states anything that could be related to your computer locking. The newest events are listed at the top of each section, so finding an event log would be pretty easy to find. Hopefully we can find what is causing the computer to lock.

 

Stuck at Logging In After Locking Computer

User profile has disappeared

Hello! Thank you for the suggestion. After going through the first tutorial from that link, I believe I am now completely locked out of my computer. The lock screen background changed to what I’m used to, but it still asks for the C drive profile’s password, and each time I log in it loads for a minute and then signs out and resets back to the initial lock screen before the login comes up. Restarting hasn’t helped, even with a hard reboot.
