  1. What can i do to reduce my ping to gaming servers on client side?

Split from this thread. Quick question , What can i do to reduce my ping to gaming servers on client side , For example as you can see ive had another post but ive come across new info and wondering if you had any suggestions . For UDP , I heard theres something i can add in registry called UDPnodelay referring to TCPnodelay does this work ? by adding it and changing the value to 1 like TCP in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters . To sum this one up , basically adding the UDPNoDelay in there and setting a value of 1 to "enable it " . Alongside this TcpAckF

    :)

Reduced FPS on inactive game client

After switching to Windows 10, when I play a game using 2 game clients, the inactive client has a severely reduced FPS. Whichever client has focus would run well at expected FPS. The inactive client would reduce FPS and stutter until made active again.
I did not have this problem (on the same computer) when running Windows 8.1.

    I'm running Intel I7-4790, 16GB RAM DDR3, and NVidia GEForce GT740.

I've experimented with the clients in Windowed vs Full Screen, on the same monitor, on separate monitors, et cetera. I've also had the same experience if I have one game client up and try to stream video from a browser or if I try to stream two videos from
separate browsers - the inactive client/browser has severely reduced FPS.

    Any ideas?

    ping on games

    Hi King,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

A good internet connection doesn't necessarily guarantee a low ping.

Ping is affected by the distance between you and the game server, and by the quality of the route your connection takes to get there.

Even if you have a faster internet connection, if your friend's connection takes a more direct route to the server, they might still have a lower ping.

However, here are a few things to try to make your connection better:

    1. Check your router

Make sure your router is not overheating or is not too old.

Old or overheating routers can slow down your internet connection.

    2. Close background applications

make sure no other applications are running in the background that could be using up your bandwidth.

    4. Try a VPN

(Sometimes) using a VPN can help reduce ping.

This is because a VPN can help route your connection more directly to the game server.

    5. Contact your (ISP) your Internet Service Provider

It's possible that the issue is on your ISP's end.

They might be having issues with their internet services.

Contact them and ask if they can do anything to help.

    6. Change your game settings

Lowering your game settings can sometimes help reduce ping.

Try lowering your graphics settings and see if that helps.

    7. Update your network drivers

Outdated network drivers can cause high ping.

Make sure your drivers are up to date.

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

    Best Regard
