Hello, I recently was gifted a surface tablet from a friend of mine. I tried to reinitialize factory OS and during windows 11 install system corupted. Tried to load into bios using powerdown button and said its ufei password protected. Attempted to obtain said password and they was told they forgot it; since they never had to used it. System proficient in windows 10 pre ufei, F8'd and thought life was a lie.

How do I remove the Linux Boot Loader?

You don't actually uninstall a boot loader but replace it with another.

You cannot get Ubuntu to start on a Windows' boot loader, it needs to be GRUB (or an open source equivalent).

Any ways, to get the Windows' boot loader back up, you need to insert your WIN7 installer disk and select the repair option>startup repair. I am assuming the WIN7 will use a similar setup menu as VISTA.

After that, just format the partition/disk that ubuntu is on...

Step #3: Ping Microsoft server

• If you receive 4 replies, your connection with the site is working properly.
  
• If you got a request time out, your Internet connection has issues.
