Windows 10: What can I do to use an unsigned driver

Okay so this is a weird problem but here we go.

Basically, my dad handed me an old MIDI Hub since the usb on my midi controller is not working. I searched a bit on the internet and I only found a Windows XP driver.

I tried to install it but Windows kept complaining that it wasn't signed to after another round of research I enabled test mode and disable driver signature enforcement, rebooted and managed to install it and it worked great !

However,

When I rebooted back into "normal" Windows it wouldn't work anymore and I got a yellow triangle in device manager. Upon going into properties it said another thing about the signature.

Third round of research, and I found this I managed to run through all the steps and got the driver to install back without any signature error without enabling test mode.

But, it still wouldn't work and I still had the yellow triangle in device manager.

After round four of research I finally understood that windows allows you to install a self signed driver, but won't load it since it's not signed by microsoft.

So here I am, wanting to use this thing without keeping my computer in test mode (or maybe keep it but disable the watermark somehow ?).

Any help is appreciated.

Very strange issue in Windows 10 the driver is signed but not for Windows 7, in a few hours I will post an screenshot installing this driver on Windows 7

Hi Dyllan,

Since you have tried many troubleshooting methods with no luck, we recommend you to boot Windows 10 with
driver signature enforcement disabled. To do so, kindly follow these steps:

• Restart your PC while holding down Shift.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
• Select Advanced options and click Startup Settings.
• Click Restart to restart your PC into the Startup Settings screen.
• Press 7 or F7 at the Startup Settings screen to activate
  Disable driver signature enforcement mode.
• Driver signature enforcement is now disabled and it will remain disabled until you enable it back on the
  Advance boot option.

Let us know if this enables you to install unsigned drivers.

The major risk of installing an unsigned driver is a boot loop (constant blue screen of death) . its usually curable by getting into safe mode and removing the driver . despite that seems simple but its not if your bios comes to be a UEFI bios (comes enabled by default on most laptops) , where i suggest before you do the install to always disable UEFI or switch it to classic mode based on your bios make so you can at least use a bootable media or whatever other fix disks to be able to fix your windows .
