  1. What caused my Computer's Audio to Start Popping and Lagging?

What causes a computer to randomly start having audio issues? I'm dealing with popping and laggy audio. It seems to get worse if I start doing anything that requires the computer to think, like play a video game, run Chrome (opening another tab, scrolling too fast) opening Spotify, etc. It's been doing this for a month now and it seem to have gotten worse when I updated Windows 10.

Thanks for any advice you have.

    :)

    Audio Popping

    Hi guys,

Anyone have any idea the main causes of popping crackling audio from on-board audio?
My computer has only just started doing this and it happens in both the front and back audio jacks with different headphones.

  4. What caused my Computer's Audio to Start Popping and Lagging?

Windows 10 Update Caused Cursor Lag

I experienced the same problem. Tried everything I could find online, but nothing seemed to work. By experiment I tried deleting the webcam drivers (I never use the webcam anyway) and this appeared to do the trick for me:

    • Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
    • Search for Webcam from the list of devices.
    • Expand Webcam from the window.
    • Right click on the driver and click on Uninstall or
Delete (or try to Disable it first, if you do regularly use it).

For some people it also appears to be the audio drivers that cause the lag. I personally preferred the lag over deleting my audio drivers, but if you're really desperate you might try that as well.
