Windows 10: What causes detachable keyboard and mouse pad not to function. The laptop is HP ELITE X2.

My HP laptop Elite X2 detachable keyboard and mouse pad is not working but the Caps Lock key keeps blinking when connected to the screen/monitor.

Please reply: What happens when you try disabling the mouse pad? Do you receive any error message?

You can also disable your mouse pad by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the Mouse driver and click on Disable.
• A prompt will appear, click yes.

I would also suggest you update the driver from the device manager.

Laptop Keyboard Mouse Pad

I have an HP Laptop. How do I get the scroll on the touch pad to work. I tried settings and did what I though was necessary, but I can not get it to work. All the other functions work on the touch pad ok.
