    What do I do about this BSOD problem/dump file problem?


    I've been having trouble with my ASUS ROG Strix laptop randomly blue screening. Sometimes it happens when I'm actively using it, but most times I'll have just left it plugged in, asleep, and then I hear the restart noise and it's started back up in BIOS. Eventually, I changed my power settings to hibernate after being inactive for so long and just unplug it. Unplugging all devices, including the battery, when I stop using it seems to help, but it's not a fix to the problem. When I look at event viewer, I see a couple of events that happen before the power failure, but I'm not sure where to go

    Problems dumping

    Problems dumping mobility HD 4650

    I am getting the error:BIOS reading not supported on this device. when I try to dump the bios or submit to online database with GPU-Z 0.3.5.

    My computer is a Compal KHLB2 with a Mobility Radeon HD 4650.

    What I am wondering is how this guy
    TechPowerUp
    was able to dump his. Those are the exact same numbers and versions that GPU-Z shows on my computer.

    I also tried dumping it using Winflash and Atiflash but they both said that it was invalid or unsupported, and when I tried to force dump, it saved a file of null bytes.

    Any comments or suggestions?

    dump problems!

    hey i have this computer here, and i dunno if anyone is good with dump files, but i have 9 here and each one is giving me differnt drivers that could cause a problem.... well half of the are the same driver but yea... the system is:
    intel e8400
    asus p5k-e
    corsiar 4x1gb dominator 1066mhz
    samsung 750 gb hd
    lg sata dvd-rw
    antec 650 w earthwatt
    sapphire 3870 x2
    vista home premium 32 bit sp1

    now i analyzed the dump files (and i can upload them if anyone can help me out...), each dump file is as follows for problem causing drivers...

    atimdag.sys
    dxgkrnl.sys
    dxgkrnl.sys
    dxgkrnl.sys
    dxgkrnl.sys

    help me please!!!! i have been reading its either bad memory or bad windows installation, but i can't find any problems when i do memtest....

    After some hard thinking and doing i have managed to dump flash *Big Grin What do I do about this BSOD problem/dump file problem? :D but flashing it back is different story ,again problems wrong checksum and wrong chip type errors .Here is what i have dumped http://www.4shared.com/file/DLdARMd7/BIOS.html

    unfortunately it req sign in ,unless u have other file share service that i can load in to and share *Wink What do I do about this BSOD problem/dump file problem? ;) so you can ad this bios to list of existing bioses .
