Windows 10: What do i do if my GPU is only giving 30% in max graphics set game

Hello, i have a problem for exemple fortnite, i set all maximum graphics and the gpu still won’t be used for more than 30-36% on the Armoury Crate program. I am on windows 11 i checked for updates and there’s not new updates. My gpu is updated since 2 days and there’s noway it could be a cpu/RAM/GPU bottle neck because im on laptop core i9 12900H rtx 3080ti and 32 GB Ram DDR5. if anyone can help me. P.S: i personally think its windows 11 that is badly optimized and known for its exculsive updates and problems. may be or may not be the cause.

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR on graphically intensive games

Hi.

I'm new here and I came across this forum while looking for a solution for this issue. My PC is crashing with a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR while playing heavy graphic games (FarCry 4, 5, New Dawn, Bright Memory, Metro Exodus). Nothing happens in any other instance.

I've been following some steps from this same forum.

So far:

Cleared CMOS
Set BIOS to default values
CPU, RAM and GPU reset to stock values (CPU was OCed to 4.8 1.25v, RAM was 3600 XMP and GPU is always stock)
30 minutes of Prime95 (Heavy), no errors, 75º max.
10 loops of memtest64, no errors.
Furmark 1080p, fullscreen, no AA: crashed after 8 minutes with fans in Auto (93% max). Set fans at 100% and passed 30 minutes.
(Testing) Playing with fans at 100%

Well, this is weird.

I have been playing Far Cry 5 for some hours, with fans at 100% and the game still crashed, but much less than usual. It seems to be a temp issue, but I'm pretty sure it's not.

 

Is there a way to force a program to use a secondary GPU?

I have 2 GPU's (Nvidia GTX 970 and 1080) and I want to force a program to use the 1080 for certain programs/games. Going to Settings>System>Display>Graphics Settings should give me the option to switch GPU's. Unfortunately it does not list both of my GPU's
nor does it allow me to change to another one, only the default GPU is chosen (the 970). This is a desktop computer and I have tried the Nvidia control panel and UEFI settings without much luck. If I tried selecting a program to run on my 1080 (through the
Nvidia control panel), it would still run it on the 970. I have tried switching the GPU's around with not much luck there either. If I can suggest to Microsoft the option in the Graphics Settings to list both GPU's for selection, that would be great. Otherwise
I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

 

Custom Driver : Intel HD Graphics & ATI Combo (Alpha) - by nIGHTmAYOR

according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?
