    What do I do when a Windows update hangs and won’t finish the install


    i let Windows update to “2024-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x-64 based System KB 5046732” and now after 60 minutes it has hung up and not completed its update. what is wrong? When it was going to reboot it said it was going to only take three minutes.Now I am at the screen where I see the windows logo, but the circle is spinning without finishing the install. I am not sure what to do at this point as it looks like it’s hung up is not going to finish installing.Can I just hard reboot it?

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

    Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

    I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

    Windows updates won't install!

    I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

    You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
