    What do I do with my msi not finding ssd


    I have a msi and it can't seem to find the ssd I put in it, it's recognized in the bios but when booted up to select a device to install windows 11 it's not found what do I do

    Windows Install - Can’t find SSD driver

    I’m trying to install Windows on an Asus Zenbook Q409. When I get to the step to select the storage device and partitions, there are no storage devices listed, but it gives the option to browse for drivers. I confirmed that the SSD is functioning as it is listed in both the UEFI and works fine in an Ubuntu live boot. The SSD is a WD SN 735. When I search for this SSD the closest result I get is a SN730. Where can I find the driver for the WD SN735?

    I’ve tried this with both Windows 10 and 11 bootable USBs.

    Suggestions for an SSD for my MSI GE62VR 7RF Apache Pro ? Bought an MSI Apache Pro back in February on sale, opted for one without SSD so I could put one of my choosing. My first gaming laptop I've owned, and when I built my PC years ago I wasn't in the market for M.2 SSD's. Any suggestions ?
