Windows 10: what do I need to change a file from word to pdf

I change pdf files to word but can't change them back. help

Regarding your PDF documents, the location will be based on where you saved the files. For your second inquiry, your documents can be converted to a PDF. If the original file is from Office Word, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

  In Word, select File > Save As.

  Select where you want to save the file.

  Type a new File name if you want.
  
• 
  For Save as type, select PDF.
  
• 
  For Optimize for, select an option: Standard or
  Minimum Size.

  Select Open File After Publishing, if you want to open the file after you save it as a PDF. This is selected by default.

PDF files to Word

• I don't know why you are having a problem doing what Vijay_Verna suggested, but I can assure you that it *does* work. Perhaps the reason for the problem has to do with the particular pdf file you tried it with.

 

Word file type changed to pdf!

Help! I was trying to open a pdf file in word 2013 and now all my word docs have changed file type to Adobe Acrobat! How can I change them back without going into each file? I tried changing the default programme to word but it didn't help. ...andI've
just noticed it changed all excel types as well.
