    What do I need to make Stero Mix work to add additional speakers?


    MSI PRO DP21 mini PC with Win11 Home 22H2, Build 22621.3007, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0The directions below seem straightforward but I still need help. It says "you will need a digital audio workstation DAW application that supports multi-channel audio output or a sound card". How to Use 2 Audio Outputs at the Same Time on Windows 11I gave it a shot without either but 'Stereo Mix" did not show up. I have a mini PC bought as a backup for my laptop, in case the latter dies very old Lenovo Thinkpad. I use the mini to play my extensive mp3 music collection with iTu

    Hello @mikeincousa

    Audacity can record only one source even if you open more instances (tracks).

    Cakewalk can record multiple sources but in different/individual tracks. You have to set the desired source for each track and then, if you like you may mix t.

    Seeking Stero Mix

    I am lost in the videos and pages.
    I have three mics set in my computer: two USB and one analog.
    I have been round and round and I still do not have a clue how to find a solution: I want to get two of the mics feeding into Audacity.

    Everything seems in order but I have not been able to sort out how to get the stereo mixer going.

    Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.



    If you need to see more shots let me know which ones and I will post them. For some reason the second USB mic does not show in this clip.

    Seeking Stero Mix

    Set Stereo Mix as default Recording Device. Then whatever mic (input) is used Audacity (also set to Stereo Mix) will be used.
    I have a recording studio and I don't know if Audacity will record from two mics at the same time.

    Suggest you look at the free Cakewalk by BandLab (formerly Sonar) recording studio program. Its a professional program and what I use in my recording studio. You must first download the BandLab Assistant and then download Cakewalk from the Assistant.
