  1. What does dcp_watchdog_violation pc crash mean?

Hi, i jave just encountered a new crash.

    "Dcp_watchdog_violation"

According to some forums i read, it could be because of outdated or incompatible drivers, but this issue also can come from external hard drives being worn out.

It happened while i was making some textures for minecraft in firealpaca, firealpaca may have basically caused the crash, so i moved it back to my ssd to see if tnere is any difference, so far i was able to complete some textures.

My ssd is a kingston a400, another reason the issue could apparently appear is because the ssd firmware/softwate needs to be updated, but i used the kingston ssd manager to check and it said there were no updates.

So if this does still happen to me, what should i do? I heard using disk cleanup or defragging the external hdd would help.

    :)

  3. Dcp_watchdog_violation?

hi there to anyone that sees this, I have been having some really annoying and frustrating problems with my PC lately. My PC keeps crashing an coming up with the blue screen of death saying DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION which I did my homework and went and tried most of the logical youtube videos on where they went into device manager, power option and so on but nothing has fixed mine. What is different about my PC crashing is I will be mid way through a game using my 2tb hdd and once my pc crashes it will restart but then my 2tb hdd will be missing and I have no clue on how to fix this. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please say otherwise I will have to pay to get fixed.
P.S my system still runs because all my games and junk are stored on the hdd and my OS is on my ssd.

What does dcp_watchdog_violation pc crash mean?

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
