Windows 10: What does the cleanup of the page file during the shutdown do?

I searched "How I speed up the shutdown without force much the PC" and one of the tips is check the cleanup of the virtual memory page file during the shutdown, if it is activated or not, but isn't explained decently what can happens when you activate this option, I mean, it only says "if you active this option, the shutdown can take long", although I don't know if is safe or is just unnecessary to activate this option, so what about you? Do you recommend activating or deactivating?

Page File

Set minimum and maximum to a constant number as suggested by others, that will help reduce fragmentation on the drive coz of different page file sizing.

Files in disk cleanup

Rest assured, it is totally safe to delete everything suggested by the Disk Cleanup Process, please tun the Disk Cleanup twice as explained below, please remember to untick your Downloads folder if you actually store files in that folder . . .

Open File Explorer

Click on your hard drive

On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

Start Disk Cleanup again

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete
