    What does the notification on my phone "approve sign-in request CLJTE" mean ??


    I mostly understand the two factor sign-in stuff... but what on earth is "CLTJE" ?

    What does the notification on my phone "approve sign-in request CLJTE" mean ??

    It was a "time sensitive" notification prompting me to "Approve sign-in request CLJTE" in the Authenticator app.

    The notification itself has now vanished. The Authenticator app does not seem to keep a history of notifications.

    The sum total of the message was: "Approve sign-in request CLJTE"

    When I went to the Authenticator app, expecting it would tell me what this was all about, but I got... nothing. So I denied the sign-in request (and the sky did not fall).

    I'm assuming that "CLJTE" is something obvious, even if it's not obvious to me.

    Are you using an onmicrosoft.com account?

    Are you a part of a company or school admin with a Microsoft 365 for Business subscription?

    When a company or school signs up for a Microsoft 365 for Business subscription, Microsoft creates a new domain with the onmicrosoft.com domain.

    It is possible that you have @cljte.onmicrosoft.com in your account, which is why you are receiving the Microsoft Authenticator app pop-up message "Approve sign-in request? CLJTE."
