Desktop shortcuts appear on external monitor instead of pc

Hi,

I will certainly help you with the issue you are experiencing in getting
desktop shortcuts on your PC from External monitor.

This issue might occur due to default settings where you are not able to view the desktop shortcuts on the PC, you are looking for.

Before proceeding further, I would like to ask few questions for better assistance:

• 
  Which edition of Windows are you working with?
  

Please follow below mentioned steps to fix the issue:

• 
  Plug in the second monitor which physically sits to the left of your primary screen
  
• 
  Right click the desktop, choose
  Graphic Options>Output To>Extended Desktop> Built-in display + Monitor.
  
• 
  Extended desktop enabled, but screen 2 (on the left) can only be accessed by moving the cursor to the right.
  
• 
  Right click the desktop and choose
  Graphic Properties - choose 'Multiple Displays' from the side menu.
  
• 
  Move monitor 2 from its default
  'Right' side to the left – all the icons go with it
  to screen 2 but the taskbar stays on the primary monitor.
  
• 
  Click 'Apply' to accept this (temporarily) - close the
  'properties' window.
  
• 
  Right Click the desktop, but this time choose
  'Screen Resolution'. Ensure that screen 2 is to the left - if not, move it.
  
• 
  Click on screen 1 and ensure it says
  'This is currently your main display'
  
• 
  Click on screen 2 and tick the box that says
  'Make this my main display' - the taskbar should move to screen 2.
  
• 
  Finally click on Screen 1 again and tick the box that says
  'Make this my main display' - the taskbar and
  all the icons should move back to screen 1.
  

I would like to Inform/suggest, Press the
Windows key + P, and then choose a way to project:

• 
  PC screen only
  – All your desktop shortcuts will be seen only on primary monitor/Desktop.
  
• 
  Duplicate- Desktop Shortcuts that is on primary monitor/Desktop will replicate on Secondary monitor too.
  
• 
  Extend- Primary monitor will be extended to Secondary monitor. But all the desktop shortcuts will appear only on primary monitor. (If you want to have the desktop
  shortcuts that’s on primary monitor on secondary monitor, you can just drag the shortcuts from primary to secondary monitor and check if that helps).
  
• 
  Second screen only- All your desktop shortcuts will be seen only on Secondary monitor/Desktop.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

New Desktop PC No Beeps Nothing on Monitor

Hello. I'm trying to make a new desktop PC. It's the 2nd PC in my system specs. I put together the computer parts and pushed the power button. The fans and power LED came on and the hard drive makes noise, but there are no beeps and nothing happened on the monitor screen. I bought two of the same motherboard to try to make sure I had an extra one if it couldn't be replaced later by warranty for some reason. The same thing happened with both motherboards. I tried using both the onboard video (or whatever it's called) and a graphics card, and I tried using two different monitors too. I disconnected the monitor and the hard drives and the DVD drive and removed the memory thingos, but it still wouldn't even make beeps.

I got the case speaker thingo (little round black thingo) from Amazon.com. I didn't see anything that came with the PC case to plug into where the motherboard says 7-pin SPK_PLED1, and the only connectors listed in the PC case manual thing to plug in along that same part of the motherboard are HD Audio, POWER SW, RESET SW, HDD LED, POWER LED+, AND POWER LED-, which are all I see in the PC case, so I don't know if the thing I bought and plugged in to the motherboard where it says SPK_PLED1 should make beeps.

I'm not very knowledgeable about computers. Can you guys suggest what to do next? Thank you.
