    What Does This Msg Mean?

I tried to get this question answered on the BSOD subforum, but I got no help. Now, I'm thinking I may have asked the question wrong. The error msg reads "MS Edge can't be opened using the Built-in Admin. acct. Sign in with a different acct and try again." Does that mean for Edge to work I have to sign in using a MSoft email acct, as opposed to using my LOCAL Admin acct?

    GPL

There is the default built-in Admin account, usually without password that gets you going when you first start Windows, but there should be at least one user account, and it is best to have a password for this. You also may want to have a named administrator logon (with password) for use when problems arise.
If the user account has not been created, then probably the OOBE has not run, and you may be left with a limited range of functions, and a lot of frustration.

The built in Administrator account has permanent admin privileges and is not subject to UAC. This account by design is not compatible with Edge or other such Apps. This would compromise the security the Apps were designed to provide. Other admin level accounts should work, provided you have not disabled UAC in the registry.

The built in administrator account was never designed for general use.
