    What edition will I get from retail Win7 Ultimate?


    You won't get the N version. N doesn't have Media Player. You lose Media Center as part of the upgrade, if its installed, but you keep Media Player.

    You'd only download the N version if your reinstalling Windows 10 on a PC that came with the N version preinstalled. That media can also be used for clean installs on PC that came with Windows 10 pre installed. If your doing the free upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1 you will use 10 Home or 10 Pro, depending on what version your upgrading from. If you use the "Upgrade this PC now" option it will figure out what version needs to be installed automatically.
