    What files are kept when you reset your PC and keep your files.


    I'm having a ton of issues with my PC, so much that often it turns on with a blue screen with options to troubleshoot. I've uninstalled recent updates through that menu but I'm still having issues. It keeps suggesting I reset my PC and keep my files. When I go to do this will it keep all the files on my D:/ drive as well as the C:/ drive? Basically every personal file I have is on my D:/ drive and it's much larger than the C:/ and I can't afford to lose them. Please help!!!

    Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

    I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

    EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

    or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

    I don't think that step #3 is even needed. The probabiliy of two MD5 hashes from differing files colliding is what, 2^-128 ?
    Even if your were hashing a million files the odds of a hash collision on differing files is astronomically small.
