Windows 10: What flat bed scanners work under Windows 10?

Two flat bed scanners that I ordered from Amazon did not work under Windows 10 (64-bit).

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced flat bed scanner?

HP Scanner 4470 and Windows 10 - Microsoft Edge

I had same machine and loved it. I have the Epson Perfection V370 Photo flat bed scanner -- very inexpensive and works well with Win 10; and I also have the NEAT organizer scanner running with it too...

AFTER THE UPGRADE FROM WINDOW 7 TO WINDOW 10 ; SCANNER HP SCANJET G3010 PHOTO SCANNER IS NO MORE RECOGNIZED BY THE WINDOWS AND SCANNING IS NOT POSSIBLE.

I have the same problem with my Scanner HP Scanjet G 3010 . I followed all the steps as you mentioned . Still Problem persists . Am unable to find Scanner Icons on Desktop or in Program run menu . I have to go to Devices , click on the scanner to do scanning.
Again only Flat Bed scanning works but not TMA ( Film) adaptor.

What shall I do now. Should I reverse back to Windows & Ultimate in which OS my Scanner was working very fine.

 

My low-end Epson XP-310 (all-in-one printer/scanner) works flawlessly with Win 10. I use the native scanning program of Windows 10. I got it on sale for $60CAD.
Then I bought another one on sale because it's cheaper than a full set of ink alone. A full set of ink is around $45CAD but the second printer (same brand and model) I got was $40 with a full set of ink.. *Smile

 

What were the brand and model of the scanners that didn't work?

 

Do you already have a printer ? As mentioned here i also have a All-in-One Epson Expression Premium XP-600 that works good with Windows 10 and even the Epson software for scanning. If you have a printer look at Epsons site at there scanners i tend to like there products over the years and check compatibility for Windows 10 and there drivers.
Usually if it works with Windows 8.1 it will probably work with 10.

 

A Canon CanoScan D1250U2F USB Flatbed Scanner, and a Memorex MEM48u Flatbed Scanner, did not work.

 

I do not want one that is also a printer, just a scanner.

 

That Canon is much older model
This product is compatible with the following operating systems -

• Windows Vista (32-bit)
• Windows XP (32-bit)

• Windows Me (32-bit)

• Windows 2000 (32-bit)

 

I don't think it matters. Just don't use the printer as long as the price falls under your budget.
What matters is it works unlike the 2 you bought. Plus, most AIO have wireless capability. You can place it anywhere you want.

 

Not sure of your budget, some of these will work with Windows 10 drivers made in 2015 and do list Windows 10. As said i prefer Epson. Just take the model and look elsewhere for a good price.

Epson Perfection V19 Scanner this one is decent enough and a good price.

 

My HP M1217nfw works fine with my computer (flatbed and feeder).

 

At least with the Canon, I didn't come across any Windows 10 drivers, but that's reasonable to expect with such an old scanner. Did you really buy this one recently from Amazon?

My suggestion would be to just look in to any recent scanner and make sure it lists Windows 10 compatibility. Know what you are buying before you purchase.

I have an older Epson Perfection V300 Photo Scanner and has W10 drivers and software and got it for $89 a few years back
I am very pleased with it and all the options.
The Epson Perfection V370 Photo Scanner looks like the replacement and is on sale for $99.99 at Amazon.
