Windows 10: What happend with MS? KB5007186 cause network print error also

Last month KB5006670, now KB507186 cause network print error. What the hell happned with MS???

Error - Printing on Network printer

We have 4 printers on our Windows print server. The server was migrated from win2k3 to 2k8 on friday. 3/4 printers are working great, the other is having issues. When trying to print a test page to it, it gets a job status of Error - Printing.

When sending a small word document to it, it sends it to the printer, the queue is empty but nothing prints. If I goto the printer itself, it doesnt show any errors and I can print things such as information sheets and diagnostic files just fine.

All four printers are the same model, all 4 have a static IP. I can ping the printer successfully. I've tried printing from both an XP machine and the print server itself. I tried removing and adding the printer on the print server. And lastly, uunplugged the printer for 30 seconds, plugged it back in.

Any ideas?

There is. Unfortunately the status doesnt showing anything. But I didnt know about this page. I tried printing a document from this page and it gave me a bit more of an error. Print service not responding.

 

MS Edge and MS internet explorer causing corrupt print jobs sent to printer

Hello,

I have discovered that after upgrading to windows 10 my workstations are sending corrupt print jobs when printing from MS Edge and MS Internet Explorer.

The printer works fine on some pages but on others is causing the print jobs to be corrupt when sent to the printer.

When printing to a Kyocera Taskalfa 4550i MFP black and white printer the printer receives and accepts the print job but then moves to an error (F248) indicating a corrupt print job has been received.

I found a page that this occurs each time I print from either MS Edge or MS Internet Explorer. Interestingly, the issue does not occur if i print the same page from Chrome.

The driver is the latest driver available from Kyocera and is listed as compatible with MS Windows 10. This is occurring on multiple workstations and is consistent on the page that causes the issue. The Page was https://www.essickair.com/customer/account/login/
really any page at this site will generate the error.

Is this another shining example of MS ignoring coding standards or just an unanticipated glitch? Again, this is not the only website that causes this behavior.

Please advise if this has been found and addressed or like previous versions of Windows and MS browsers we will just need to bypass the MS solution and use browsers that are written to industry standards such as Chrome.
