    What happened to my GPU in Laptop ????


    Hello sir,Hope you are doing well. Recently I have faced with an unbearable problem. I have 4.18 GB of shared AMD RADEON Graphics of which I use in my games and I'm sure of it. But nowadays I can't use my shared graphics memory, only dedicated graphics but I haven't any dedicated graphics card. What should I do now ??!! I have searched for my solution but can't find any !! I used to play a lot of games with my shared gpu memory but now it isn't happening !! Once in a game the graphics memory showed 4.18 GB but now it shows 0.48 GB even in the same game !! I hope you will find out the s

    laptop doesnt boot automatically

    This is what happened.

    1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
    2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
    3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
    4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
    5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
    6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

    I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

    Many thanks to all members who helped to troubleshoot problems.

    Custom Driver : Intel HD Graphics & ATI Combo (Alpha) - by nIGHTmAYOR

    according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

    Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?
