Windows 10: What happened to my windows explorer detailed and list view?

Suddenly my computer looks like this in "detail" view, the space between the folders/files is bigger than usual. I tried to reset the folders settings here:



but nothing changes, i don't really get it, all the other views look the same except my "list" view which looks like:



even here the space between the files is bigger than usual, do you guys know how to put it back to normal?

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

Not sure but, if you press and hold Ctrl then scroll up or down one mouse wheel notch, you'll go back and forth between List and Details view.

How to Set Windows Explorer in List View All the Time?

In windows explorer, files aren't arranged the way you them all the time. Sometimes files are arranged in details view, other times they're arranged in list view. Is there a way to get windows explorer to set all files in list view?
