Windows 10: What happened to window mode in Snip & Sketch?

    What happened to window mode in Snip & Sketch?


    I used Microsoft's Snipping Tool a lot, but now with the forced removal of Snipping Tool, I'm only left with Snip & Sketch. Everything in Snip & Sketch is okay, I guess. The only problem is that there's no way to take a window snip. You can only do that in Snipping Tool. Please add a feature in Snip & Sketch that allows you to take a window snip. Thank you!

    Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

    I understand the inconvenience you are facing with the Snip and Sketch app on Windows 10.

    Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

    1. Which version of Windows is running on your device?

    Refer the article Which Windows operating system am I running to know about
    the information.

    Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

    Method 1

    Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
    and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

    Method 2

    Reset Snip & Sketch app

    1. Press Windows + I key and click on
      Apps      .
    2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
    3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
    4. Click on Reset option.
    5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
    6. Let us know if the issue still persists.

    Snip & Sketch NOW has Window Mode

    Fiddling around I looked at Settings and found that you could go to Settings and use the Print Screen key to get Snip & Sketch to come up. It happens to be in Ease of Access but you can get there from the Settings place in Snip & Sketch.

    Reset Snip & Sketch app

    5. Relaunch the computer once
