  1. What happens if i disable my gpu in device manager?

I have laptop with windows 10, a nvidia gpu, and an intel cpu with integrated graphics. If disable my nvidia gpu will it just switch over to the intel graphics after a restart? or is this going to fuck my shit up so terribly that I can’t fix it.

What will happen if I disable my only display adapter

An engineer at Adobe is helping me diagnose a problem with Photoshop. He suggested that I disable my AMD card from device manager and run Photoshop on the integrated graphics to see if the issue persists.

When I check Device Manager, I see only one display adapter listed:

Shouldn't the integrated graphics also be listed? If AMD is my only display adapter, I am reluctant to disable it.

Windows version 1903 (OS Build 18362.592)

GPU-Z device list enumeration, device order?

Specifically, how are the the GPUs listed in the drop down sorted, or determined? Vendor and PCI ID? OS hardware device list? Other?

Sorry if this was answered somewhere already. Searching for "GPU LIST ORDER" and like terms were not helpful.

    Thanks.

What happens if i disable my gpu in device manager?

What is going on with my GPU?! [NOT INSTALLING DRIVERS]

    Hi Jordan,

We suggest that you uninstall Intel 4600 Graphics from your
    Device Manager.

    • Open your Device Manager, click Windows Key
      and start typing Device Manager.
    • Expand the Display Adapter section.
    • Find the Intel Graphics Driver. The driver can also be called Intel GMA Driver.
    • Right click Intel Graphics Driver, and click Uninstall.
    • Check the box Delete the driver software for this device.
    • Restart your PC after uninstalling the drivers.
Then, manually install GeForce 940M as your default drivers. We also suggest that you disable the auto update of your drivers to avoid this from happening again.

    Thanks.
